Message Yes, it was an extremely low mileage stock Z. 23,875 miles when I picked it up. I took it to Stage III quickly and put about 12,000 miles on it.

I upgraded the injectors to run higher boost about 7 months after I bought it. A few months later, the stock turbos went bad (I only boosted about 17-18psi which they should've been able to handle easily).

At that point I bought some T-28 turbos to put on. Those went bad quickly so I got ANOTHER set of T-28's. Those also went bad. I replaced them with JWT Sport600's. After installation I was still getting a ton of smoke. That's when I did compression testing and discovered that everything was off. After teardown of the engine, #6 was melted. There's been plenty of speculation on the forum about T-28's heat creation problems and that it may have contributed to the demise of #6 (which is the hottest cylinder anyway). I'm not sure, but it's definitely shot.

Instead of reworking everything I just decided to buy a new shortblock.

The car basically hasn't moved in 6 months and the prior year to that only got about 3,000 miles. Right now it sits at 38,600. Body and interior-wise it is still mint and looks almost showroom floor new.
